ABOUT ME.

When I was about 7 years old I remember finding a book in my school library, it was about the making of a film. I think up until that moment I may have believed films to be real, almost like documentaries. I’m sure I must have been aware that they were fictional stories, but I bought into the visceral experience of them wholeheartedly; I still do. I remember as I flicked through the pages, I was amazed that there were people who did this a job and I don’t think I ever thought about doing anything else since that moment.

I have always had a passion for photography, art and film and I have dedicated my time to trying to be the best I can be. It’s not always easy, lots of hard work, but I absolutely love it. After studying at college and university, I have been very fortunate to have worked for the last 18 years in creating film and other media both as a freelancer and also working as part of design agencies. I am based in the UK but have been fortunate to have filmed all over the world, in America, Africa & India.

My day to day work is primarily promotional work with my company 12:42 Studios, but over the years I have created films for Microsoft, Sony, Jaguar Land Rover, The University of Manchester and many more. I have also made many music videos, short films and creative projects over the years. Some of my highlights include having a short animation played at Sundance in 2013. I co-directed and shot a short film in the UK & Austria in 2017 that played in UK festivals. I have had the opportunity to film corporate and documentary work in India, Africa & America. A film I made with poet Lemn Sissay for The University of Manchester won the Grand Gold Award in the 2016 International Council Education Awards and an advert I directed was nominated for a 2020 EMEA Brand Award. I was also very proud to have filmed on the documentary ‘King Rocker’ directed by Michael Cumming which premiered on Sky Arts in 2021.

I currently live in the Midlands, UK with my partner & two young boys.
